I love my Xbox 360 since the day I bought it in one of the gaming shops in San Francisco. My friend told me it was one of the cool gizmos to have and never thought that one day, I will be owning one since I don’t spend much time on computer games.

I thought I would be happy playing simple games on my PC like Solitare and PinBall of the olden days and then of course, eventually progressed to Tetris up to movie based games like SpiderMan.

When I save the Xbox 360, I found out that you can also play movies as well. Then they showed me how you can also play with others online on the internet and I remembered my friend inviting me to one of the online games. An interest came to me that immediate moment how my friend will be surprised if I will be the one to invite him and play online.

Not only did the shop showed me the multi players over the internet feature, they also showed me how to use Xbox Live where you can download trailers, TV shows, game demos and movie trailers. These put me to a higher level of interest in buying it since I do not need to go to other sites to know what is the latest in games and TV shows.

All the integrated online functions plus watching movies and playing music all in one place prompted me to buy it from that store. I guess you can say I became one of the victims of a hard-core salesman but I never regret this addition to my ever growing collections of gadgets and gizmos which are actually starting to pile up in my room.

But as in any new “toy”, the first few months was a lovely relationship with my Xbox 360. At first, I wake up in the morning and starts to check all the latest info I can get out of Xbox Live and trying all game demos, share and comments on it with my friends live online, the play some of my favorite music while taking a shower before going out to work.

When I come home, I still play some more before watching TV and then use it as a background music when I go to bed so I can have a sound sleep during the night. Lately though, I only open it twice or 3 times a week since I have been busy with other things like writing for a fee.

I believe your Microsoft Xbox360 had broken down a couple of times before, this is what happens to as many as 30% of the people who have purchased Xbox 360. You are not alone in the world. That’s the reason why Microsoft extended the warranty of Xbox360 Console to three years from the date of purchase. The two most common parts that breaks down are the Graphics Processing Unit and the DVD-ROM drive. Both one of them will definitely give way and there is no way for you to fix it yourself. Microsoft had already known of this problem.

Something You Need are the serial number of your Xbox360 console set, the customer service number of Microsoft and lastly a can of air.

Instructions:

1) Always unplug your Xbox 360 from the wall and also the television set first.

2) Next blow away as much dust as you can out of your Xbox set using the can of air. Sometimes an Xbox will overheat due to the accumulation of dust in the box.

3) Next move the Xbox to a location where it will have better ventilation or air flow.

4) Next stand the Xbox 360 vertically, the reason why we place the console set vertically is because sitting an Xbox on it’s side has been reported to cause the DVD drive to fail so do take note of it.

5) Lastly, call up Microsoft customer support if neither of these works for you. They will replace your faulty Xbox 360 free of charge, provided your Xbox360 console set is still under warranty.

Always keep your original purchase receipt and serial number on hand when you call the Microsoft customer support line. They will definitely need the information and you can give it to them upon request immediately. Never ever modify your Xbox 360 or use any third party peripherals as that might void the 3 years warranty forever. If the above step is still not been able to solve your Xbox 360 problem, I recommend you getting the best Xbox repair guide now and the best part of it is that it’s a step by step guide in pdf format and digitally downloadable. The Xbox Repair Guide can get your Xbox set up and running in no time!
